I am an artist.
I have been painting for over twenty years. I graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana with a BA in Art and Illustration. I became a local artist in 2006 when I picked up my brushes seeking to let out what could not be contained any longer. Art has saved my life. Art has changed my life.
I am a Mental Health Counselor.
For the past five years I have been involved in the Social Services arena in various capacities such as a volunteer, an intern, and later, a therapist. On May 2013 I completed a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from IUSB. I currently run a private practice in Elkhart at Psychological and Family Consultants.
I am an Art Counselor.
It is my life mission to assist others in their healing process. To those interested, art may be a vehicle for this transformation.
I am an Immigrant.
I was born and raised in Mexico. I came to the US at the age of 26 with the intention of staying no longer than one year. Little did I know, destiny had different plans for me. This country has granted me the opportunity to see my dreams come true and accomplish every single goal I have set for myself. Prior to settling down in Indiana I lived in Colorado and California.
It is in South Bend where I have found home.
